Dr. Andrzej Turkanik, Mittersill, Austria is Schloss Mittersill's President. He has completed degrees in music and art as well as theology before earning his Doctorate from Cambridge University.

His thesis on the Septuagint version of 1 Kings was published as  “Of Kings and Reigns” in the series “Forschungen zum Alten Testament” by Mohr Siebeck of Tübingen (2008).

He and his family have lived in Poland, Germany and the UK. He is regularly invited as a speaker and seeks opportunities to instigate uncommon reflection on the the future of Europe. (Click here for some of the topics which Dr. Turkanik spoke on recently.)

Dr.phil. Christian Bensel, grew up in Tyrol, studied linguistics and philosophy in Innsbruck and London and received a doctorate for his research on “Everyday Truth and Argumentation. Change of Truth Criteria and Truth Strategies in Apologetic Texts” (published as „Wahrheit und Wandel“, VDM Verlag Dr. Müller, Saarbrücken 2007) from Innsbruck University.

Dr. Bensel is Schloss Mittersill's Programme Manager and also directs our "Bible&Culture" Course. He loves dialogue and uncommon reflection. Christian Bensel is married and has two sons.
